Great efforts harnessed by the staff of the maintenance division of the department of the area between the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them). According to the head of the division; Mr. Fadel al-Hussayn, lot of maintenance work have been completed within its geographical work area, extending from the Maytham al-Tammar Street up to the martyrs Street, as well as the area between the two holy shrines and its surrounding areas.

The tasks of the division includes blacksmithing, plumbing, painting as well as the maintenance and excavation.

As regards to the blacksmithing work, the division insures the construction of the checkpoints, bases of the air conditioners and surveillance cameras, as well as the maintenance of the machines of the department of between the two holy shrines, in addition to the electrical boards and electric wire carriers.

As for the paint works, he explained: "These works include the coating of the electrical cables located in the area between the two holy shrines and the main roads leading to it, as well as coating the pavement and paint all the fountains, in addition to many other paint work that we perform in the sites of the department of the area between the two holy shrines."

Also, one of the most important works of the Division is the plumbing, which includes: "The installation of the RO water systems, spray fans, reservoirs and fountains in the square between the two Holy Shrines, as well as the establishment of a special network of the Division of afforestation of the Department of Between the two holy shrines."

The work of the division includes also other maintenance works related to the secondary ceilings installed inside the courtyard between the two holy shrines, as well as the casting work to cover the erosion in roads with cement.
