In commemoration of the martyrdom of Lady Az-Zahra (peace be upon him), the two holy shrines launched the Fatimi sorrows season.

In order to show respect to the rituals of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of the Prophet's daughter; the immaculate venerable lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), the Department of Hussayni rituals and processions has launched on Sunday 13th of Jumada I 1440 AH corresponding to January 20, 2019, the season of the Fatimi sorrows under the patronage of the two general secretariats of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).

The head of the department of the Hussayni rituals and processions of the two holy shrines; Mr. Riyadh Ni'mah al-Salman, spoke in an interview singled out by the al-Kafeel Network, saying: "For the eleventh year in a row, the Department of Hussayni rituals and processions of the two General Secretariats of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) holds the season of the Fatimi sorrows in the area between the two holy shrines on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (Peace be upon her), which will last for ten days. "

Adding: "Since eleven years, the two general secretariats are used to hold during ten days the Fatimi sorrows season or the small Muharram, including a multi-event festival, with activities including a panorama (image and sound) to tell the story of the oppression of our Lady az-Zahra (prayers of Allah be upon her) in many sections.

We made all these facts in the audio and image in the area between the two holy shrines. The festival included the free painting studio for children under the age of ten, as each child draws his imagination about the burning of the house and the calamities she faced, and there are encouragement prizes and gifts to the participants."

Indicating: "There are Hussayniyat and bodies to participate in this festival and also libraries in Karbala to provide books on this occasion. And there is a Council of poets and Hussayni Radoods. And on the night of death, there is the Fatimi procession that will launch from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) towards the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)."
