Publishing houses and libraries of Karbala publish their books in the square between the two holy shrines.

The Fatimi sorrows season held by the Department of Rituals and the Hussayni Processions in Iraq and the Islamic World of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), has included many activities since it began several days ago, such as embracing a number of the publishing houses and libraries in Karbala, to participate in the Karbala Book Fair in the square between the two holy shrines, so that the visitors coming to performing the Ziyarat during the commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), can visit the pavilions of the fair in which various religious and cultural publications are displayed.

The head of the Department of the Rituals and the Hussayni Processions at the two holy shrines; Haj Riyadh Ni'mah al-Salman explained to cooperation mechanism between the department and the libraries and publishing houses in Karbala, saying: "The book fair is one of the salient features of the Fatimi sorrows season. Therefore, we have held an extensive meeting with the libraries and publishing houses in Karbala to agree on the books and publications that will be displayed during this season."

He added: "Following this, a committee was formed by the sheikhs in the religious affairs department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to select the suitable publications for the exhibition, which are commensurate with the occasion for which these events were held. The books and publications were diversified between the religious ones about the Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) and the ideological ones as well as other cognitive and scientific books. "

He continued: "It is not hidden from all that the libraries in the city of Karbala have great importance in regard with their intellectual, scientific and religious publications."

"We facilitated the entry and display of books, as well as the organization of the pavilions and other logistical assistance, which the department undertook to provide libraries and publishing houses for the success of the exhibition," al-Salman said.

In addition, the owners of the libraries and publishing houses in Karbala expressed their thanks to the Department of Rituals and Hussayni Processions of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), to offer them this blessed opportunity to present their various cultural productions and for facilitating the procedures that contributed to the success of this fair.
