The launching of the women's activities within the framework of the World Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom Spring.

Every year, the celebration of the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn and the Mohammadian lights in the great month of Sha'ban is held within the World Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom Spring organized by the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) in Karbala. And this year, its fifteenth edition has new additions embodying the growing creative thought through each of its activities.

On Wednesday morning the 4th of Sha'ban 1440 AH corresponding to April 10, 2019, the women activities that are held within the framework of the World Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom Spring, held under the slogan "Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), the beacon of nations and the reform of the values", were launched.

In the presence of many ladies of research, academic and hawza interest from inside and outside Iraq, the activities held in the hall of the Seal of Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) at the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine, started by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcoming speech of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), delivered by Ms. Rafah al-Hakeem, head of the Institute of the Muslim Family at the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine, stating: "The holy shrines, through their deep vision, emanate from the universal message of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), to give interest and attention at all levels, forums and festivals to introduce the matter of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to different parts of the globe."

This was followed by the word of the participating Arab women delegations, delivered on their behalf by Ms. Om Kultum Yaser Seblani, from Lebanon, highlighting that the uprising of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), moved the emotions of the free ones in order to liberate the society from the slavery and humiliation.

Then it was the turn to the word of the Christian delegation delivered by the Italian photographer; Claudia Borgia, who described how was her first journey to document the Arba'een, and the role of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) in this immortal epic, stating that the guiding principle of her trip to Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is the search for truth.

The forum was then concluded by the poem of the poet Ismahan Aal Turab from the Saudia Arabia, followed by the poem of Isra' al-Gar'awi from Iraq.
