539 service processions participate in providing services to the visitors on the eve and day of the mid-Sha'ban.

The Department of Rituals and Hussayni Processions in Iraq and the Islamic World of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) announced that the number of Hussayni processions participating in the Ziyarat of the half of Sha'ban is (539) processions from inside and outside Karbala governorate, within its administrative boundaries and registered in the database of the department.

This is according to the head of the department Haj Riyadh Ni'ma Al-Salman who added: "These processions were distributed to the main entrances to the holy city of Karbala, the side of al-Hurr, the province of Najaf, the province of Babylon, and the province of Baghdad, in addition to the many processions spread inside City center, with one procession from the Republic of Pakistan."

Al-Salman said: "The processions during the Ziyarat of the half of Sha'ban provide many service, such as food, accommodation water and medical services. This service varies from one procession to another. The processions were distributed according to a plan prepared by the Department in advance, in which the location of the procession is assigned specifying the name of the procession's sponsor and giving a copy to the security services in the province. "

Al-Salman indicated: "In order to come out with the best results and in accordance with the sanctity of the Ziyarat, and work to overcome all obstacles and achieve smooth flow in the work of these processions without intersection between each other, in addition to not intersect with the movement of visitors, a number of meetings were held to issue recommendations and instructions for the processions, followed by written pledges from the sponsors of the processions in order to abide by them."
