The two holy shrines pay tribute to the martyrs of the protests in Iraq.

The general secretariats of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) paid tribute to the martyrs of peaceful demonstrations demanding their legitimate rights guaranteed by the constitution, and supported by the supreme religious authority. The two holy shrines held the tribute council this Monday afternoon 5th Rabi Thani 1441 AH corresponding to December 2, 2019, especially the martyrs in Dhi Qar, Najaf, Baghdad and Karbala.
The Mourning Majlis was held under one of the roofs of the square between the two holy shrines, in the presence of the two secretaries-general of the two holy shrines, a number of servants of Imam al-Hussayn and of his brother Aba Al Fadl Al Abbas (peace be upon both of them), as well as a large number visitors.
Sheikh Salah Al Karbalai, head of the religious affairs department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, stated to the al-Kafeel global network: "This Mourning Majlis expresses its solidarity with the families of the martyrs and extend the condolences to them, asking the God Almighty to give them patience, and to protect Iraq and the Iraqis and to preserve the blood of its youth."
For his part, the head of the department of the area between the two holy shrines; Mr Nafie Al Moussawi said: "The two general secretariats of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), make sure to pay tribute to the martyrs of the country through various activities, including condolences' councils as a consolation to their families."
It should be noted that in recent days there have been the deaths of a number of protesters and several injured protesters in many provinces, including Dhi Qar and Najaf province.
