A delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine attends the annual celebration of Al-Ghadeer Festival held by the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)

A high-level delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, headed by its Secretary General Mr. Mohammed Al-Ashiqar has attended the annual celebration of Al-Ghadeer Festival, which is held and hosted by the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) on Saturday morning 22nd Dhu Al-Hijjah 1437AH, corresponding to 24th September 2016 in one of the halls of the western expansion of the holy shrine, to celebrate the greatest Eid of Allah; the glorious Eid Al-Ghadeer.
The opening was attended by the Secretaries and officials of the holy shrines, clerics, number of professors of Hawza, tribal leaders from inside and outside of the holy city of Najaf.
The Secretary-General of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him); Sayed Nizar Hashem Habl Al-Matin has delivered the speech of the opening ceremony in which he has spoken about the humanitarian aspects of the personality of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and the concepts of respect for human right and the nature of his leadership of the nation after the martyrdom of the Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and be upon his holy Household).
Followed by the word of the researcher Sayed Sami Al-Badri in which h has spoken about the heroism of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) after the martyrdom of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household).
The ceremony has included also paying tribute by the Institution of the Hussayni procession to a number of the officials of the holy shrine, led by its Secretary-General for its continued support to the Hussayni processions and holding the rituals during the various events throughout the year, the ceremony has also included a religious chant by the chanting group of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and a poem about the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) by the poet Haydar Razzaq shemran Al-Ka'bi.
The opening ceremony was concluded by paying tribute to the Secretaries of the holy shrines including the General-Secretary of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and a number of the personalities who have attended the festival's opening ceremony.
It is to note that the festival will last for four days, including many events such as a festival of popular poetry, meeting of Ghadeer creativity and a Quranic celebration, in addition to workshops and seminars about reviving the heritage of Najaf as well as a media conference.
