The first research sessions of the Second Scientific Forum for indexing and classification held by the Indexing and Information Systems Center.

The first research session of the second scientific forum for indexing and classification held by the Center of Indexing and information systems of the Library and House of Manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, held under the slogan "The electronic indexing in the Arab environment using the RDA system, and which will last for two day with the participation of researchers from inside and outside Iraq, was held at the Hall of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) for conferences and seminars at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine on Thursday afternoon the 18th of Jumada al-Ula 1438 AH, corresponding to the 16th of February 2017.

This research session was chaired by DR. Faiza Adib Abd al-Wahid, and the first research of Professor Ghada Dimashq was about the rules and classification of sources and making them available, between the theoretical and scientific framework.

The second research was joint research between DR. Azhar Zayer Jassem and DR. An'am Zayer Jassem, speaking about the effectiveness of the competent professional pages of the rules of RDA and the social networking, and their role in the development of the skills of the cataloguers. And the closing research was of DR. An'am Hussayn who has spoken about the impact of the information technology on the technical procedures in the universities libraries, taking the library of Hijr Ibn 'Ady; the central library of the Mustansiriyah University as an example.
