A red carpet in the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

As part of preparations and the continuous work in the holy month of Muharram, the Department of the Care of the Sanctuary at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine started furnishing the sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with a red carpet on an area of 2500 square meters, and same amount of nylon that was put under it.

This carpet covered the entire area of the holy sanctuary, as well as the entrances of its gates, in order to preserve the rugs of the shrine on the one hand and on the other hand to facilitate the passage of processions of condolences and visitors, which are witnessing an increase in their numbers.

It is noteworthy that the care department of the sanctuary, like the rest of the departments of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, all its staff have been mobilized for several days to receive the visitors, mourners and the Hussayni processions, which number is increasing to reach its peak on the tenth of Muharram in the ritual of Rakdhat [the run of] Tweyreej in which millions participate. For this purpose, all the department's staff were put on full alert, and a group of volunteers came in order to assist in the work of the department that is greater in this period.
