Out of his love, one of the believers gives a precious carpet as a gift to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

To express his love and attachment to Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which is priceless and not measured by the most valuable gifts, one of the believers from Iran named Ali Hakimi from Isfahan has given as gift a precious handmade carpet. As he had dreamt that he would be honored to write his name within those who are honored to present gifts to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

And according to the statement of Mr. Ali Hakimi, the work on this carpet took three years between the design and knitting to come out with this beautiful carpet, which he devoted to be spread in the sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and be blessed by the steps of the visitors.

And to coincide with the celebrations of the blessed month of Sha'baan, the Department of the shrine's care at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has spread this carpet at the entrance of Qiblah gate. The mentioned carpet was woven from natural threads and natural silk, and is one of the finest types that are handmade according to a special design and with the use of floral motifs and stable colors that do not change with time, to suit the carpets of the holy sanctuary.

This carpet is measuring 4 m x 7m and is distinguished by its bright colors, that are put for the first time in the holy sanctuary; green, yellow and white.

It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine receives many gifts from the lovers and followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) from inside and outside Iraq, either in form of vow or gift. The believers are given receipt with their names and address, two copies are made, one is given to the donator and the other one is kept in special records.
