The services provided by the Department of the two holy shrines during the Ziyarat Arba'een.

During the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) many efforts exerted by the departments of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) were fruitful, including the Department of the area between the two holy shrines of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) which role was effective and influential, as it mobilized all its human and material efforts in order to contribute to create a Ziyarat atmosphere that eases the burden of the visitor, as the area between the two holy shrines is a third area accommodating the visitors after the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), which requires several security and service requirements by the department during this blessed Ziyarat and beyond.

The head of the Department, Mr. Adnan Ni'mah has stated: "The tasks and duties have been divided and distributed to all the divisions each according to its specialization. The division of maintaining Order has the responsibility to secure the two holy shrines and the area surrounding them, and also to inspect the visitors entering the area between the two holy shrines, as the area was divided into several parts in which roaming patrols follow the movement of visitors or any suspicious activity, this was in terms of security aspect. As for the services, they were as follows:

1- Distribution of more than 20 tons of garbage bags to the owners of the Hussayni processions and in the area between the two holy shrines.

2- Distribution of 1500 cleaning kits, 175 cleaning containers and 2000 liters of liquid detergents to service facilities.

3- Removing more than 375 tons of waste by the use of the departments’ mechanisms.

4- 32 specialist cars participated in the Ziyarat continuously throughout the Ziyarat period.

5- Distribution of 3.250.000 liters of RO pure water to the owners of the Hussayni processions.

6- Supplying the fountains of drinking water in the area between the two holy shrines with 1.459.000 liters of RO pure water.

7- Processing 2.000.000 liters of water for ablution and washing.

8- Delivering 1.425 missing children and elderly to their families by the Information Division.

9- Delivering 64 mobile phones that were lost during the Ziyarat to their owners, and there are 54 mobile phones remaining that have not yet been delivered as we have not found their owners.

10- We found 700 US dollars, 2554 Iranian Toman and 618 thousand Iraqi dinars and 3600 Afghan Currency, all were handed to their owners after confirmation.

He added: "The Department has been supplemented by thousands of volunteers in addition to alert state for all its staff, and despite the end of the Ziyarat, our department continues up to this moment to receive the visitors and work to provide a suitable atmosphere for them in both accommodation and sitting terms."
