The technical and engineering cadres working on the cladding of the floor and the wall of the mausoleum of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), have completed the works on the right side of the entrance to the sanctuary within the first stage of work.
According to the head of the engineering projects department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the engineer Dia Majeed Al-Sa'egh: “These works came to complement a series of previous preparatory works. And currently the works started in the wall and floor of the room on which the Taremah pillars are based. "
He added, "The works were not limited to cladding only, but there were works that included wiring lighting, electricity, communications, audio systems, and pipes for water and others, and linking them with the main systems in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine."
And al-Sa'egh explained: “The alabaster that was used in the cladding is of the (multi-onyx) type. It is of the same quality that was used in the cladding of the holy sanctuary and its Iwans, on which several technical and engineering tests were carried out in terms of durability, color stability and thickness, in addition to other specifications making these marble pieces be of great beauty and splendor, preserving harmony and symmetry between them on one side and the rest of their surroundings on the other hand."
