The work on the wooden frame of the shrine's grid of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) reached advanced stages.

The stages of work on the wooden structure of the shrine's grid of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), which is manufactured in the department of manufacturing the grids and doors of the holy shrines belonging to the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, have reached advanced stages that preceded the proportions of the works that were previously planned, as work continued with the manufacture of metal parts for the grid, which will be installed piece by piece upon completion of any part, according to the designs assigned to it and that have been approved by the committee supervising this project.

The head of the department, Mr. Nadhem Al-Ghurabi, stated to the Al-Kafeel Network: “A special executive work plan has been set for the work of the shrine's grid of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) that ensures that all works run in parallel lines despite their accuracy and artistic details, including the works on the wooden structure that have witnessed remarkable progress. It is one of the important works to accomplish this project, as it is considered a starting point and basis for the rest of the metal and wooden parts.

Adding: "The technicians of the Carpentry Division have harnessed all their efforts for this work, and it was executed with high craftsmanship according to the design outputs and using high-quality and efficient materials, such as the best types of wood (Burmese), and by a professional installation method that matches the weights that will be installed on it. "

He continued: “The wooden structure of the grid, which takes the form of a parallelepiped, consists of four main pillars, ten intermediate columns adjacent to the knotworks (Duhna), and four lower wooden bridges connecting the pillars between them from the bottom, and they form a link and are covered with 5mm pure stainless steel, to give it durability and a longer life. In addition to four wooden upper bridges that will connect the corner columns from the top. This structure is crowned with its upper part, which is carrying the decorative frieze, the inscription strip and the ceiling of the grid."

In the same context, Al-Ghurabi asserted: “The work of manufacturing the metal parts of the grid in its entirety is running in parallel. The work is currently being carried out on the manufacture of the decorative strip for the grid, and the bases of the lower columns on which the knotworks are based, in addition to the initiation of the manufacture of the knotworks’ triangles And the columns separating one knotwok and another, and these works require precision and craftsmanship in execution because they are handcrafted and engraved by hand with floral motifs and patterns, and the work of making balls and handles that will be fixed on the grid, is still ongoing.”
