The Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that the work of cladding the walls of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in its second part (the left side of the entrance to the holy sanctuary from the direction of the qiblah) is being carried out as planned.
The head of the aforementioned department, Eng. Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh, told Al-Kafeel Network: “The work of cladding the walls began after the completion of the floor covering, in the space between the Holy Sanctuary wall and the meeting point of the holy courtyard, and an area estimated to be half the total area of the Taremah which is 500 square meters. ".
He added: "The cladding of the walls is done using (multi-onyx) alabaster pieces, with the same quality that was used in the cladding of the holy courtyard and its Iwans, according to special measurements and dimensions. The cladding was preceded by preparatory works that are considered one of the important and necessary actions, such as strengthening the wall and pillars of the holy sanctuary and increasing its durability and strength, in addition to the cohesion of the floor by filling its cavities and voids with special materials that made it distinguished by additional strength, as well as an integrated network of systems that is part of the systems of the Holy Sanctuary and the Holy Courtyard, such as the lighting, sound and cameras."
