The percentage of the completion of Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine reached its final stages, as the section of engineering projects made every effort to complete this important and vital health project, and that worked to overcome the technical and administrative difficulties of the executive companies (the Engineering company of Archimedes from the Republic of India, and the Iraqi group of companies Al-Baldawi.)
The head of engineering projects at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine - the main body overseeing directly the implementation of the project - The Engineer Dea' Majeed As-Sa'egh explained to the Al-Kafeel Network: "This kind of projects contains few particularities and some technical and engineering details that are specific to health projects, especially of this magnitude. Therefore, the executive company has implemented a business plan , so works go in parallel with each other, in order to ensure the works' continuation and to prevent the intersection between them. "
He stated: "We finished the wiring and installation of systems of electricity, which contain the (integrated lighting, fire alarm, communications and Internet, a system for calling nurses, TV system, administration building and grounding system), also the mechanical systems have been completed, including (air conditioning and heating system, ventilation system, fire protection system) as well as the plumbing that includes (water supply system, sewage system, gas supply system) in addition to the installation of sanitary materials in all parts of the building. "
He added: "In parallel with the ongoing work in the hospital, most of its own hardware has arrived and stored in the stores of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and according to the contract with the provider company, it will install all the equipment once the project will be fully accomplished and finished."
It is worth to mention that the hospital is built on an estimated area of (5,000 m2) on six floors, consisting of (135 beds) distributed according to the needs of each speciality (emergency and others), and also contains 12 operations' rooms, plus emergency clinics, consultancy and outpatient clinics. The aim of this project is to support the health sector in Iraq in general, and the province of Karbala in particular, and to complement the previous health projects, and to assist the local government, which is currently implementing many of the health projects, as a contribution of the shrines of the holy city of Karbala for minimizing the shortfall mentioned in the health field.
