The completion of the installation of the electrical escalators of the basement of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)..

Within preparations for receiving the visitors of Arba'een of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), the Department of Engineering Projects at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has completed the installation of the escalators of the basement of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) for women, which its concrete structure has been completed earlier. These escalators are from the technical and engineering important additions to such projects, as the holy shrine gave a s head start in setting up such projects in the holy shrines in Iraq investment the spaces of the holy shrine, and these escalators are a proof of the unique and qualitative characteristics of the terminations of this project.
Head of the Department of Engineering Projects at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine -the supervising authority on the project's implementation- Engineer Majeed Al-Sa'egh explained: "Before proceeding with the design of the escalators, a special study has been prepared including the determination of its place, length and shape, then the length of the escalator through knowing the angle of the height and the height of the floor, taking into account when designing these escalators providing normal stairs close to them in case of disruption or needed maintenance, to not stop the walk of the visitors in times of emergencies."
He continued: "The installation of these escalators is considered one of the engineering services for the project basement, which is one of the addition and technical designs developed within the project, which reflects the development extent of the implementation of the infrastructure projects of holy shrine, in addition to its primary function there is its aesthetic part. These escalators are from South Korean company "Hyundai" in special specifications and took into account the momentum through millions of visits."
It is worth mentioning that the basement of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) , which design and implementation were allocated to the construction company of Ard Al-Quds, is located on the western side of the holy shrine in the area between the gates of the Owner of the Time and of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon both of them) with an area of approximately 1000 m2, with a length of 66m and width of 14,2m, equipped with all the amenities for the visitors.
