The Islamic Centre for Strategic Studies of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which is based in the holy city of Najaf, and as a result of its expansion and the large number of its departments with their subdivisions, and because the place allocated to it currently is not in line with its services and its progress, and does not meet the current and future plans and ambitions, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine considered the establishment of special building for this center.
The Head of Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh has explained to Al-Kafeel Network: "The project is held on an area of 890 square meters, after that the special designs have been developed for this project along with the artistic and aesthetic touches that are in line with the specificity of this center. The building is a concrete structure reaching an achievement rate of more than 75%. And the works are underway to complete the rest of the structure, which has been divided into rooms and halls that will be cut using ultameston. The other works are continuous on the fifth floor and continue to the seventh floor according to the plans, making sure to match the works with the approved designs, and the materials used in the construction to be approved by the laboratory tests and quality control."
He added: "In parallel with these works, other works are ongoing to keep pace with the cutting works of the concrete structure with hollow concrete blocks according to the architectural plans."
Indicating: "The project, which is implemented by Anwar Hadar General Contracting Ltd, has adopted in its implementation of the concrete structure and the raft foundation, the use of modern technologies in all the finishing works either inside or outside the building, including central air conditioning, electricity system, sanitary, all the service systems (calling system, fire extinguish system, camera system, communications system and gas system."
It is to mention that the Engineering projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has carried out and supervised dozens of large projects as well as hundreds of small and medium projects -including this project- inside and outside the holy shrine. Most of these projects were implemented by Iraqi cadres either from the mentioned department of local companies from outside the holy shrine, or rarely with the collaboration with foreign labor companies.
