In honor of the birth anniversary of Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her): The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine inaugurates the roofing of the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) within its expansion project.

With the blessing of the Almighty Allah and in conjunction with the birth anniversary of the Immaculate Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and in honor of this auspicious occasion the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has inaugurated on Saturday evening the 19th of Jumada II 1438 AH corresponding to the 18th of March 2017, the roofing of the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) within its expansion project.

The inauguration ceremony was held in the Qibla gate by a large attendance of a number of religious figures, representatives of the holy sites and shrines in Iraq and the presidency of the Shiite Endowment in addition to a large gathering of cultural and tribal dignitaries and crowds of visitors, amid extensive media coverage of visual, audio, printed and electronic media channels.

The ceremony started verses of the holy Quran by the reader Sayed Hassanein al-Hilo, followed by the word of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Ahmed al-Safi. Please click here to read his word.

Then came the word of the President of the Shiite Endowment Sayed Alaa al-Moussawi, calling for the expansion of the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) by adding new spaces as it has a narrow space compared to the rest of sanctuaries of the holy shrines.

Then Mr. Ali al-Saffar has presented a poem about the inauguration of this project, followed by the word of the head of engineering projects department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineering Dea' Majeed al-Sa'egh, the direct supervisor of the implementation of the project.

Then The poet Sayed Abd al-Khaleq al-Mhanna has delivered a poem of popular poetry for this occasion, and closing speech was of the Ard al-Qods Company for Constructions the designing and implementing company of the project, by his CEO and the designer of the project Engineer Hamid Majeed al-Sa'egh.

The attendance then headed to the sanctuary of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) for the inauguration of the project, starting by a collective Ziyarat of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) then a visit to the corridors of the holy sanctuary to see the details of the project along with an explanation about its most important details.
