During his visit to the alternative water project of the Euphrates River: The Iraqi Minister of Water Resources confirms that the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is going to transform some desert lands into agricultural areas.

The Iraqi Minister of Water Resources; Dr. Hassan al-Janabi, visited the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to see the alternative water project of the Euphrates River which was built by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

Director of the office of the Senior Officer of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Mr. Jawad al-Hasnawi explained to al-Kafeel Global Network about this visit, saying: "The visit of the Minister was complementary to a previous visit to see the latest developments on the important and vital projects of the holy shrine, and during the tour we gave him a detailed explanation of the nature of the project and the size of the interest it will be bring."

And he added: "Before this tour, in the previous visit, the Minister had a meeting with his eminence the Senior Officer of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, during which he heard an explanation of some of the projects established by the holy shrine including the project of the alternative water. This project is from the important projects that have a future and serve the city of Karbala in the event of any emergency -God forbid- as it is one of the strategic and giants projects in the province, so the Minister has this great interaction and desire to other field visits."

For his part, the Minister of Water Resources said: "The shrine is still going in the urban and cultural progress, and it has a great role in converting some desert lands into agricultural and green areas. This is due to the officials in the administration of the holy shrine, starting from his eminence the Senior Official to the members of board of direction, the heads of departments and all the workers in this holy place."
