Technical and engineering staff in reconstruction work of the al imam al Mahi holy site in Karbala reached advanced level.
Chairman of engineering project department in al Abbas holy shrine, Eng. Dhia M. al Sayegh, announced to Alkafeel "The first phase to reconstruct the holy site has been reached 90% where the former Kashi Karbalai had been took off from the holy dome and replaced with new template form. The dome has been reopened during Shaban month".
Stated "Alabaster established to the floor of the holy shrine after taking off the previous floor. Walls reconstructed as well with alabaster where small libraries added".
Added "This is the first phase of reconstruct the holy site. The face of the shrine building Kashi Karbalai replaced where the work reached 50 %".
Assured "The next step is dealing with electricity, fire alarm, and cameras as well as new WC; moreover changing the secondary roof. While the third step will be the in front space of the holy site. Checking points and shoes keeping places are the third step as well".
Explained "There is connections with ministry of municipality to gain the right bank of Algami river to be used as rest place for visitors and this is the last step".
It is well be mentioning that the holy site of al imam al Mahdi did not reconstruct since its establishment, so the holy shrine of Abu al Fadl al Abbas started reconstruction".
