The project of cladding the shrine's floor by alabaster reaches its final stages.

According to the head of the engineering projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Engineer Dea' al-Sa'egh, the works of the project of cladding the floor of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with alabaster reached the final stages.

He added: "The engineering and technical cadres in the said department continue to work on finishing the final phase of the project of the cladding the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) by alabaster, to announce the close end of all the work of the expansion and the overall infrastructure."

Indicating: "The engineering and technical cadres are working around the clock in order to complete this important project that serves the visitors coming to Karbala city, so we are striving to complete this stage, which is based on changing the floor tiles inside the holy shrine up to the areas of the basements and Iwans in the holy sanctuary."

He added: "The project is integrated in terms of infrastructure, as the water pipes as well as electricity system have been installed and extended in addition to the cold water system, which feeds the refrigerators located inside the sanctuary. Noting that the project area is about (5,000) square meters."
