The agent of the Supreme Religious Authority places the foundation stone of the first al-Wafa Complex for housing the families of the martyrs of the al-Abbas's (p) Squad.

On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the holy defense Fatwa launched by His Eminence Ali Sistani, the supreme religious authority's representative, Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi laid the foundation stone of the first Al-Wafaa Complex "Dar Om al-Baneen (peace be upon her) for housing the families of the martyrs of the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad, located in the Fares neighborhood in Karbala, on the 9th Shawwal 1440 AH corresponding to (13/6/2019) in the presence of the Secretary General of the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); Sayed Jafar al-Moussawi and the Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Engineer Mohamed Al-Ashigar, as well as members of the Boards of directors of the two holy shrines as well as representatives of the local government in Karbala.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in honor of the martyrs of Iraq and then listening to the Iraqi national anthem. Then came the speech of the Assistant Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Sheikh Maytham al-Zaidi.

Then came the speech of the agent of the Supreme Religious Authority Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi, the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

This was followed by the speech of Mr. Abbas al-Moussawi, the representative of Foundation of az-Zahra (peace be upon her), through which he extended his sincere thanks to the agent of the Supreme Religious Authority Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi and Sheikh Maitham Al-Zaidi, the supervisor of the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad for the care given to this project and the unlimited support for its creation. Stating: "This residential project is a modest way to thank the great sacrifices made by the heroic martyrs for this country."

At the end of the ceremony, the foundation stone of the first Al-Wafaa Complex (Dar al-Baneen -Peace be upon her) for the families of the martyrs of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) fighting squad in the holy city of Karbala, was laid in the hope that it will be completed within the specified period of 180 days.
