Unveiling the new holy windowed cage of Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h)

Tuesday afternoon, Mar 5, 2013. The new holy windowed cage of the tomb of Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h) has been inaugurated. A great crowded audience of Arabs and local figures attended and participated in the festival, in addition to successive arrival of religious, political and artistic figures.
The stages of achievement corresponded with several occasions such as

The date of signing the contract corresponded with the birthday of Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h).

The day of achieving the holy windowed cage corresponded with the birthday of Imam EL-Ridha (p.b.u.h).

The day of installation corresponded with enthronement of Imam EL-Mahdy (may God hasten his appearance) when he received the imamate role.

The day of casting concrete corresponded with the birthday of the greatest Prophet Mohammed (all blessings and peace be upon him & his family).

The day of inauguration corresponded with the Sha’abanya uprising in Kerbala in 1991.

The festival was inaugurated with reciting some verses of Noble Quran by the reciter Shereef Amir from Egypt and then a speech delivered by the Secretariat-General of the Imam Hussein holy shrine his eminence Shaikh Abdul Mahdy EL-Kerbala'i in which he welcomed all the attendees. Also, a speech delivered by Shaikh Amir EL-Azawi from Baghdad in which he emphasized utilizing such a great event to gather up the unity of Iraq under the banner of Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h).

He also said, "We have gathered here in adoration of Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h), so we should be inspired by this adoration in order to instill the great principles of peaceful coexistence and live considerately."
