Al-Kafeel University celebrates the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) and honors 249 female students.

Under the slogan (Biography of az-Zahra, the extension of science and ethics), Al-Kafeel University recalled the auspicious anniversary of the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), with a joyful ceremony held at the College of Dentistry (Hall of Sheikh Naseer Al-Tusi), through which 349 students who committed to wearing the abaya during classes and lectures, were honored.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of a number of the distinguished members of the Board of Directors of the Holy Shrine, the President of the University and his assistants, the deans of the faculties, a number of university professors, and a group of its students as well as the honored students.

After reciting verses from the Holy Quran and reciting Surat Al-Fatihah in respect of the martyrs of Iraq and listening to the national anthem and the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, there was a word of its General Secretariat delivered by its board member Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Mousawi.

It was followed by a speech by the University President, delivered by its President, Dr. Nawras Al-Dahan.

The ceremony included a recitation of poems and chants which verses chanted this auspicious anniversary. And the ceremony was concluded by honoring the students in the midst of praise and thanks from them and their families for this initiative, which they prepared as an incentive for their daughters to continue to wear the abaya, and collect the highest academic ranks.

It is noteworthy that this honor is held for the fifth year in a row. The birth anniversary of Lady. az-Zahra (peace be upon her) was taken as a starting point, and the number of honored students reached more than 1550 students.
