More than (7000) meals are served on Thursday and Friday eves.

The Host Restaurant of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine continues to provide its services to visitors, which number doubles on Thursday and Friday eves every week, as the holy city of Karbala witnesses large numbers of visitors flocking to it, some of whom are accustomed to seek the blessings of eating the meals served at different times throughout the duration of the Ziyarat.
The host restaurant staff start on Thursday every week to work from early morning hours to prepare thousands of meals, at an average of more than (7,000) meals or fast food or in the form of snacks, in addition to juices and fruits that are distributed through the external port adjacent to the host restaurant the holy shrine to the visited, who stand in the form of regular queues, one for men and one for women.
The distribution of food is divided into times, the first time is the lunch period after the two noon prayers [Dohr and Asr], where the distribution is synchronized with the services provided within the host restaurant halls for visitors who obtained entry tickets to the hall.
Then, during the afternoon times, some refreshments, juices and snacks are distributed to visitors, as well as some fruits and some pastries sometimes.
After the two evening prayers [Maghreb and Isha] are over, the outlet opens again to start the process of distributing the dinner meal to the visitors, as the queues are divided and organized.
It is worth noting that the host restaurant staffs in the Al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine operate daily and throughout the week to serve the visitors of the moon of Bani Hashem (peace be upon him), coming from different cities of the country as well as various countries of the world.
