An educational symposium on the virus (Corona) and ways to prevent it.

The Division of Medical Affairs in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held a preventive educational symposium on Corona virus in particular and epidemic diseases in general, to educate its employees of the risks of this virus and ways to prevent it, as part of a series of precautionary measures taken to prevent it, both to the servants of the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) or for its visitors, based on the principle of (prevention is better than cure) and pursuant to the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority that emphasized the readiness for this disease.

The symposium was held at the Imam Al-Hassan Hall (peace be upon him) at the holy shrine this afternoon Sunday (28th Jumada II 1441 AH) corresponding to February 23, 2020, and was attended by the Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Mohamed Al-Ashigar and the heads of its departments and officials of its divisions, as well as Representatives of the Karbala Health Department and Khairat Al-Joud Company for Modern Agricultural and Industrial Technology.

Three axes were presented in this symposium, which were alternated by

- Dr. Osama Abdel-Hassan, the official of the Medical Affairs Division at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, where he explained the division's vision on the mechanisms followed by the divisions of the Holy shrine in implementing the instructions and general health and safety directions to prevent this virus, according to the work of each department and its contact with visitors, as there are departments that work in a direct way with them and others with less contact with them, indicating the measures to be taken by them in a manner that guarantees the safety of both the employee and the visitor, following the directives issued by the Iraqi health ministry and the division that were distributed to the employees. There are also periodic follow-up and reports submitted daily in this regard.

- Dr. Salam Sahib Ubaid, the representative of the Health Directorate of Karbala, who gave in his axis a description of some of the measures taken by the Iraqi Ministry of Health, to prevent this virus in the event of its spread - God forbid - by limiting its non-transmission to the country, stressing at the same time that no case of this virus was diagnosed in Iraq so far. He also defines the epidemic virus and its causes, the clinical symptoms accompanying the disease, the infection control procedures, its transmission methods and the treatment plan.

- Dr. Ali Al-Mousawi from Khairat Al-Joud for Modern Agricultural and Industrial Technology, at the center of this seminar explained the most prominent products of the medical company, which contribute to the prevention of this virus and reduce its spread - God forbid - such as medicinal liquid soap and disinfectants used for body care or for places and homes, which have proven successful and effective in killing many germs.

At the end of this symposium, the specialists answered the attendees' questions about this topic and clarified what needs to be clarified.
