Important: After less than 48 hours, the al-Abbas’s (p) holy shrine transferred most of the wounded and all the bodies of the victims of the traffic accident in Syria.

The bodies of the victims of the traffic accident that the Iraqi visitors of the Holy Shrine of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) were exposed to on the outskirts of the Syrian city of Damascus, arrived at the Najaf airport at dawn today, Tuesday, 14 Rajab 1441 AH, corresponding to March 10, 2020.

It is worth noting when hearing the painful news, the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; His Eminence, Sayed. Ahmad Al-Safi instructed to form a delegation from the Holy Shrine to monitor in the field the health status of the wounded and injured, and to follow the necessary procedures for transporting the victims, and ensure the treatment of all the injured.

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that it transferred Monday morning (13 Rajab 1441 AH) corresponding to (9 March 2020) the wounded and insured their treatment in the al-Kafeel Hospital. They were thirty wounded from Baghdad, Muthanna and Karbala, which injury was slight, moderate and critical.

There are four patients whose doctors recommended their stay in the Syrian hospitals, because their health condition cannot bear their transfer at the present time.

The transfer process, which did not take more than 48 hours, was carried out in coordination with the Office of the Prime Minister and the Joint Operations Command and the Ministry of Defense, to secure a military plane, as well as with the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Syria as well as the local government in Karbala and the Department of Health, which provided medical requirements ".
