In response to the call of the supreme religious authority, the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched a solidarity campaign called (Marji'iyat Takaful) to support the families of the needy and affected at the present time, which is witnessing a curfew to limit the spread of the Corona pandemic in most Iraqi cities.
Assistant Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Mr Maitham Al-Zaidi said: “At the invitation of His Eminence, the supreme authority, Sayed Ali al-Husayni al-Sistani, to cooperate between members of society, to cover the shortfall in aid to the needy and affected families, the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched a solidarity campaign called (Marji'iyat Takaful).
He added: "The General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine invited all its departments and related entities in the Karbala governorate, as well as the rest of the Iraqi governorates, including the relief and support divisions and Wafa campaigns, as well as the units associated with the Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad and other charitable institutions, to bring about complementarity and solidarity in order to support the needy and affected families. "
He added, "The Holy Shrine directed its service vehicles operating in the division to provide the necessary support for this campaign in the holy city of Karbala to transport foodstuffs to the needy areas, in coordination with the crisis cell in the holy city of Karbala, as well as in the other governorates."
He called on the benevolent brothers to support this blessed campaign in the various governorates by communicating with these committees, institutions and units of the Holy Shrine.
It is worth noting that the Supreme Religious Authority has called on all to cooperate and join efforts to help poor and needy families, in light of the curfews imposed in the campaign against the Corona pandemic.
