As part of its campaign to protect society from Corona: the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine begins building a hall to treat people affected by Corona virus.

In compliance with the recommendations and directives of the Supreme Religious Authority in support of medical staff, and within the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine Campaign to protect society from the Corona pandemic, the staff working in the Engineering Maintenance Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine have begun establishing and building a hall for the treatment of those infected with the novel coronavirus, in the medical city of Imam al-Hussein (peace be upon him) in the holy city of Karbala, under the supervision of the Medical Affairs Division of the Holy Shrine and the al-Kafeel Specialized Hospital, as a precautionary measure if something new happens - God forbid - and as a reserve to the Dar Al Hayat halls in the city to receive such cases.
The Medical Affairs Division official, Dr. Osama Abdel Hassan, explained to the al-Kafeel Network, saying: "It is a support from the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the al-Kafeel Specialized Hospita, an extending and auxiliary lobby is being established in the Al-Hussein Hospital (peace be upon him), with a clinical capacity consisting of rooms operating with the Suits System and according to the terms and specifications of the Ministry of Health and the Karbala Health Service.
Noting: "The hall consists of (52) single rooms that are air-conditioned and equipped with all the required means, and are prepared to receive sick patients, in addition to which (8) rooms are used for the management and for sterilization, a sanitary complex and a storage, and there is a special management attachment for the staff, rooms for sterilizing the staff, and rest rooms for the staff."
The head of the Engineering Maintenance Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Eng. Samir Abbas, explained to the al-Kafeel Network: “After that the Senior Official of the Holy Shrine visited the medical city of Imam al-Hussein (peace be upon him), and he was briefed on the special pavilion allocated to receive cases infected by the Corona pandemic, and as a precautionary measure, his eminence, after agreeing with the city administration and the Karbala Health Department, urged to invest a part of an area in it, to create an additional pavilion (1170 square meters) distributed to (60) separate rooms to receive the patients, including rooms for medical staff and another for sterilization as well as a storage place. "
He added: "Each room is a separate suite consisting of a bed, a bathroom and other requirements. The work is in progress and will be completed as soon as possible, God willing, to be ready in time and as a precaution for any emergency - God forbid -".
