"
He added: "Our unit is working to add new office materials to the current library materials, as the aim of this process is to meet the needs of the library community for information, in addition to addressing weaknesses in the current collection."
He continued: "The provision process is concerned with the acquisition of more library materials from its various sources, according to the specific foundations for selecting these materials. The provision process is not only limited to securing the sources of information that have been selected for the library, but also includes the purchase of sources."
As for the supply methods, al-Musawi explained: "The methods of supply are as follows:
1- Procurement: Procurement is the main source of supplying the library with library materials, and the importance of this source in developing library acquisitions depends on the size of the amounts allocated to purchasing library materials.
2- Exchanging: It is a process of exchanging information sources with other libraries, and the sources available for the library are used either from its publications or from the parent institution that the library belongs to, or those that have been less used from the library sources, or have arrived as duplicate gifts.
3- Gifting: It is one of the sources of development and building of the library collection, when a person, organization or other library gives free sources of information to the library without charge.
4- Legal deposit: It is the deposit of free copies of the information sources published in certain libraries, and sometimes it is imposed on the publisher, printer or author or more than one of them together according to legislation issued by an official authority in the state, in exchange for preserving their rights to those sources, and sometimes fines are imposed if they are not following it.
