The Minister of Health has the honor to visit the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and learns about the measures taken to reduce the spread of the Corona epidemic.

The Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Hassan Al-Tamimi, visited the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, where he was received by its Secretary-General, Engineer Muhammad Al-Ashigar, his deputy and a number of the board members, on Friday evening (28th of the month of Ramadhan 1441 AH) corresponding to (May, 22 2020) as part of a visit to the holy city of Karbala, to see the preventive measures taken to limit the spread of the Corona epidemic, as well as developments in the preparation of Imam Hasan (peace be upon him) hospital - the former Turkish hospital -.
The Minister was accompanied on his visit by the governor of Karbala, Mr. Jassem Al-Khattabi, in addition to the technical representative of the head of the Shiite Endowment Diwan, the director of Karbala’s health and the director of the Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) medical city, as well as the media spokesman for the Ministry of Health.
The Minister and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the most important measures for the prevention of the Corona epidemic taken by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, as its Secretary General outlined and explained the steps taken to limit spread of this pandemic, starting by the measures taken in the holy shrine to its initiatives to support the health and medical effort in the province, such as building Al-Hayat lobbies in the medical city of Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) and Al-Hindiya General Hospital with different clinical capacities, as well as its effort in the work of sterilization and disinfection for the neighborhoods of the province, and what it provided of disinfectant and sterilization materials offered by Khair Al-Joud Company for health institutions and citizens, in addition to other related matters.
At the end of the visit, the minister expressed his thanks and appreciation for the measures taken by the Holy Shrine in order to prevent this epidemic.
It is noteworthy that this visit of the Minister of Health and Environment is the first for the holy city of Karbala after he assumed his ministerial portfolio. It also included the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussein (peace be upon him) and the district health department.
