Details and indications of the palm trees planted between the shrines of Imam Al-Hussein and his brother Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them both).

The green areas in the yard between the two holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussein and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) occupy a large percentage, in order to give aesthetic to this area in a way that pleases the eye of the visitor. And among the prominent green features of this area are palm trees, which are considered as the most important green scenery that gives a picturesque appearance to the region, which prompted the administration of the Department of the area between the Two Holy Shrines to develop its gardens and supplement it with additional seasonal and permanent trees distributed by a mechanism that made it a green oasis.

This is what has been explained to the al-Kafeel Network, the agricultural engineer, Hatem Abdel Karim Habib, the official of the afforestation and decoration unit in the department between the two holy shrines, adding: "The number of palm trees planted in gardens between the two holy shrines is (56) palm trees, as was the age of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and are distributed on four Paths, each of the two tracks in a green section of the square, on an area of (150) square meters. And the number of palm trees in each track is (14) palm trees, recalling the fourteen infallible (peace be upon them).

He continued: "The distance between one palm tree and another is (10) meters, and the height of each palm is currently approximately (9) meters. And there is a seasonal and periodic plan to take care of these trees in terms of watering, fertilization and combating pests that attack them, in order to care for them and preserve them. "

And Abdul Karim stated: "The date crops of these date palms are to be distributed to visitors free of charge as a gift. (7500 kg) of dates were distributed in the year 2019."
