May 7, 2013. Kut Abdullah District one of the places the activities of the Cultural Week Festival took place in. The Secretariats-General of the Imam Hussein and El-Abbas holy shrines and in cooperation with the International Media, a Qur’anic ceremony held in the Kut district.

The ceremony inaugurated with reciting some verses of Noble Qur’an, then a speech delivered by the head of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs in the Imam Hussein holy shrine in which he mentioned the aims the being held festival was for.

Ali El-Seffar, the head of the delegation of the El-Abbas holy shrine delivered a speech in which he first stated that the two banners of the Imam Hussein and El-Abbas holy shrines were presented to the people of Kut district.

The session concluded by a band chant performed some activities about the Prophet Mohammed and Ahlulbait (p.b.u.t).
