The Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Hassan Muhammad Al-Tamimi praised the efforts made and still being made by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and those responsible for it, headed by its Senior Official; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi from medical and humanitarian efforts that contributed to containing the Corona epidemic, especially the preventive ones that have been implemented since the first days of the spread of this virus, considering that these efforts came in line with the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority, urging the unity of all and standing together in order to cross this crisis that ravages the country, and strengthening the role of health institutions in preserving the health and safety of citizens and saving the lives of the affected ones. And we hope that the holy shrine has also a footprint in the capital, Baghdad, by creating a treatment lobby with a clinical capacity that will accommodate the increasing number of the infected people.
This statement came during his meeting with a delegation headed by Deputy Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Eng Abbas Musa Ahmed, accompanied by a member of the board of directors, Mr. Jawad al-Hasnawi and head of its engineering maintenance department; engineer Samir Abbas at the ministry's headquarters, which was also attended by the technical agent Dr. Hazem al-Jumaili and adviser to the ministry.
The Deputy Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine told the al-Kafeel Global Network, saying: "The visit came in order to inform the minister about the medical and humanitarian services provided to the citizens during this difficult period, and in the forefront of them were the lobbies accomplished to accommodate and treat the infected persons with the Corona epidemic. And also to present the idea of creating a similar lobby with large clinical capacity in the capital, Baghdad, in addition to its other efforts in providing what helps the citizen to prevent this epidemic, such as sterilizers, antiseptics and sterilization campaigns in Karbala Governorate and outside it. "
He added: "We have also confirmed that these steps that the Holy Shrine has already planned and what will follow, come with support from the Supreme Religious Authority and the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and are considered a part of an integrated project to establish epidemic disease centers in several governorates. We have also expressed our appreciation to the efforts of medical and health staff that works day and night in the first line. "
