A medical team at Al-Kafeel Hospital succeeds in treating a nursing infant with Hirschsprung disease (HSCR).

A medical team at Al Kafeel Specialized Hospital in Karbala announced its success in treating a two-month-old baby suffering from Hirschsprung disease (HSCR), noting that the hospital's techniques helped achieving many successes in pediatric surgery.
The hospital's pediatrician; Dr. Sarmad Al-Rubaie: "A medical team headed by us succeeded in the surgery of colonectomy for a two-month-old baby who was suffering from Hirschsprung disease (HSCR)."
He added, "The surgery took one hour, and we conducted it with a special modern technique, using the frozen histological analysis, and there were no complications."
Al-Rubaie continued: "This surgery is one of a series of our continuous successes that we have achieved in the hospital, with the help of the technologies and modern medical devices available at the hospital."
He pointed out that: "Many of the operations that were performed - pediatric surgery - are qualitative and distinctive at the level of Iraq, and were not performed previously."
