In a pioneering step at the country level, preserving the scientific and academic heritage of the Iraqi students who studied abroad, and making it accessible to the al-Ameed University's students, professors and researchers; the Central Library at the al-Ameed University, in cooperation with the Division of Automated Systems / Library and House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, has completed archiving and photographing of the first set of some scientific theses, for students of higher studies abroad.
The Director of the Central Library at the al-Ameed University, Professor Waseem Talib said: "The Beneficiary Services Division, in cooperation with the Automatic Systems Division, has archived an initial electronic archive of these theses, then sent them to the Imaging Unit at the Indexing and Information Systems Center of the Library and House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, to convert them from paper to the electronic version, and then indexing them in the third stage according to the latest indexing programs (Symphony program) used by the American Congress Library, so that researchers can benefit from them through electronic loan from our library, especially during the current state through which the country is going due to the Corona virus pandemic; which led to the delay of completion of this project. "
