The holy shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) is covered with black to declare the mourning.

To commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Mohammad al-Baqer (peace be upon him), the holy shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has declared the state of mourning and sorrow, recalling the calamities that have befallen on the Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) since his birth until his martyrdom.

The walls of the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) were covered with black by the servants of the Department of shrine's care, who hung banners of holy narrations that recall this painful tragedy, black flags were raised and red lamps were lit to honor this painful occasion presenting the condolences to the Holy Prophet and to Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them.)

The Holy Shrine prepared a special condolences program for this occasion, which was limited to some activities because of the circumstance that the country is going through due to the spread of the Corona epidemic, and in compliance with the health directives that urge social separation.

It is mentioned that Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) was born in the month of Rajab in the year (57 AH) in Medina, and was martyred in (7) Dhu al-Hijjah in the year (114 AH) by poison, and was buried (peace be upon him) in Baqi Al Gharqad.
