The unveiling of the two projects of the Qibla Gate of the shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

In honor of the Great Eid of God, Eid al-Ghadeer, the al-Abbas's holy shrine inaugurated the project to expand the Qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) from the inside and to decorate it with Islamic inscriptions and ornaments, in addition to the project to strengthen and re-gild the walls of the Great Iwan, or what is known as (Taremah), The decrees were held this afternoon (18 Dhu al-Hijjah 1441 AH) corresponding to (August 8, 2020), in the presence of the Senior Officer of the al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi, the Secretary General of the Shrine, Eng. Muhammad Al-Ashigar, his deputy and a number of its Board of Directors, and the Governor of Karbala; Engineer Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi.

The opening event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, then a poem delivered by the Director of the Office of the Senior Officer of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Adnan Al-Mousawi, which verses chanted these two accomplishments. After that the attendees headed to the inauguration of the first project; the expansion of the Qibla gate of the Holy Shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) from the interior and its cladding with Islamic inscriptions and motifs.

After that, they headed to inaugurate the second project, which is re-gilding the walls of the Great Iwan, or what is known as (Taremah).

The head of the engineering projects department at the al-Abbas's holy shrine, Eng. Dia Majid Al-Sa'egh, explained to the Al-Kafeel network, saying: “The completion of these two projects under these circumstances is an achievement to be added to the series of accomplishments and projects that preceded them, which confirms the ability of Iraqi competencies to implement such projects that combine the originality of the ancient heritage and the modernity of implementation, and what has been implemented is considered an artistic piece of art of great beauty, as its features were drawn to highlight that this entrance leading to the courtyard of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and his holy sanctuary consists of artistic and architectural masterpieces of utmost beauty and splendor. "

As for the director of the company executing these two projects, the Ard al-Quds Construction Contracting Company, Eng. Hamid Majeed, he added: “The Qibla gate to the Shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has become a unique architectural masterpiece, as we have taken into consideration many matters, including the design touches that preserved the general architectural texture of the holy shrine, and the harmony between all the inscriptions and ornaments of the gate despite their abundance. As for the re-gilding of the walls of the large golden iwan, it also came as a complement to its first stage, which included the parts located on the shoulders of this left and right door, and it will further add the aesthetic aspect to the Holy Shrine and the preservation of its urban facilities, while preserving its architectural and heritage texture with a civilized imprint of durability and high efficiency."
