The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds its annual Ashura council, taking into account the commitment to the preventive conditions.

In an atmosphere full of sadness and eyes adorned with tears for the tragedy of the master of the martyrs Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and as is the case every year, the al-Abbas's holy shrine sets up its annual funeral council, to commemorate the martyrdom of the Imam Al-Hussayn, his family and companions (may God’s peace be upon them), taking into account adherence to the health conditions recommended by the Supreme Religious Authority and the Ministry of Health.
Member of the Board of Directors of the al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine; Mr. Jawad al-Hasnawi, explained to the al-Kafeel Network, saying: “The al-Abbas's holy shrine used to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), his family and companions (peace be upon them) every year with a series of activities and funeral activities, including the establishment of the funeral council in the central hall that is held in the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), but this year as a result of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic and in compliance with the directives of the supreme religious authority and the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, this council was established next to the sanctuary of al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in the square opposite the Qibla Gate, in the presence of a specified number of the servants of the Holy Shrine, while taking all preventive measures such as sterilizing the place, and sitting the attendees on seats at permissible distances.
He added: “The lecture of Majlis is held by Mr. Hashem Al-Battat and is held daily at 6:30 in the morning until the day of the ninth of Moharram, and it will shed light on the renaissance of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and what it has provided to the Islamic nation and the whole world, and how it has become a beacon illuminating the path of the free with all their sects and orientations. As he is (God’s peace be upon him) for all mankind and does not belong to a specific group. "
