Late in the evening of last night, the staff of the Sanctuary Care Division at the al-Abbas's Holy Shrine finished the work of washing and perfuming the holy sanctuary of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), after the conclusion of the Ziyarat rituals of the tenth of Muharram.

The works were carried out in the presence of the member of the Board of Directors at the al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine; Mustafa Dia al-Din, who explained to the al-Kafeel network, saying: “This evening, after the conclusion of the Ashura mourning rituals, we were honored to conduct washing and perfuming the sanctuary of the shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) that we used to do each year, the staff of the Sanctuary's Care, the Sayed servants and the maintenance of order Divisions participated in it. And prior to these works we performed the Ziyarat of Ashura and the Ziyarat of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (may God’s peace be upon him) in a collective manner, to seek permission to start these works. And in the end, while under the holy dome, we prayed the Almighty to bless Iraq, to bestow upon its citizens health and safety, to keep the evil of this epidemic away from them, to bless the sick with a speedy recovery, and to extend his mercy to the deceased because of this virus. And we ask God not to prevent us from performing this service. "

For his part, the head of the Division, Haj Nizar Ghani Khalil, added: “Our work inside the holy sanctuary is continuous according to a timetable set for this purpose, interspersed with expanded campaigns, including this one that came after the performance of the Ashura mourning rituals, which lasted for more than 10 days and concluded with Rakdhat Twayreej mourning ritual".

He added: "The staffs of our division and those who were honored with them from the rest of the departments, cleaned and perfumed the holy sanctuary, starting with the holy grid using special materials that help maintain its luster, and then the surrounding spaces down to the four surrounding hallways, where the floor and walls were cleaned and sterilized, in order to preserve its luster and remove any dirt in it that may affect its shape, we have used special materials that combined the detergent with the disinfectant."

Ghani concluded: “After the completion of the aforementioned works - and as is usual - we started fumigating the holy sanctuary and perfumed it, using special incenses designated for this work, which are among the most luxurious Arab oud perfumes. Perfuming is not limited to the sanctuary and its grid only, but includes even the scenting of alabaster with a specific type of Perfumes. "
