The Center for Manuscript Imaging and Indexing intends to hold an electronic seminar on the historical documents in the library of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

In continuation of the series of seminars held by the Library and the Manuscripts House of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and its affiliated centers, the Library's Center for Manuscript Imaging and Indexing announced the holding of a specialized seminar under the title: (Historical documents in the library of the al-Abbas's holy shrine .. Presentation and analysis), on Monday (07/09/2020) at 4pm on the (Google MEET) program.
The director of the center, Mr. Salah Al-Sarraj, spoke about this seminar, explaining: “This seminar is the third remote webinar held by our center due to the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, as we resorted to using special electronic platforms and programs to sustain our activities and their continuity. And the seminar includes two axes:
First: Historical documents and the mechanism for analyzing and archiving them (Al-Joud Program as an example), provided by the researcher Muhammad Al-Baqir Al-Zubaidi, head of the documents department at the center.
The second: A presentation of examples of historical documents related to the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and their importance, presented by the researcher, Mr. Hussein Al-Sayed Jaafar Al-Mousawi, Head of the Historical Studies Department at the Center for Specialized Studies about Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
Al-Sarraj added, "This seminar will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Maytham Nasrallah Al-Mousawi, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs in the College of Education for Human Sciences at Karbala University. And we would like to note that no participation certificates are given to the attendees of this seminar."
