The completion of the first part of the al-Joud place opposite the qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

The cadres of the maintenance and engineering construction department at the al-Abbas's holy shrine completed the first part of the al-Joud place, which is the yard overlooking the qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which will contribute to absorbing the human momentum occurring in this area and increasing the capacity of the number of visitors. Especially on special occasions in which millions of visitors flock to Karbala creating a great crowd for visitors, which affects the performance of their worship work and their Ziyarat when they are unable to enter the holy shrine, because this area is considered one of the most important interfaces that are intended for what this gate forms on the souls of those who go to the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
This is according to what the head of the construction works division in the aforementioned department explained to the al-Kafeel Network, Engineer Muhammad Mustafa al-Tawil, who added: “This part is considered part of the project of developing, rehabilitating and reorganizing the courtyard opposite the gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and a continuation of the series of works witnessed by this street, and the work on this part, which is located to the left of the destination of the Holy Shrine, included the lifting of caravans, basins and other partitions and stalls, which led to distorting the image and appearance of this space on the one hand, and on the other hand to make it accommodate the largest number of visitors, and to find a regular place equipped with all services according to plans prepared for this purpose. "
He continued: "The added area of this part amounted to more than (1000) square meters, and it was covered with muqarnas material, surrounded by a fence that separates it from the area surrounding it on the side of the adjacent markets, to ensure its privacy and its connection to the Holy Shrine."
He concluded: “After completing this part, the work started on the opposite side. The rehabilitation of its infrastructure has been completed, and new structures have been constructed, represented by the wiring of electricity, sewage water, fan feeding water, water channels, etc., and the coming days will witness its works' completion.”
