The al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine holds its annual condolence council to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him).

As is its custom for reviving and commemorating the occasions of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), the al-Abbas’s (P) holy shrine began its mourning activities for the month of Safar, by setting up its annual condolence council to recall the martyrdom of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), which corresponds to the seventh of this month, in the Al-Joud place (the courtyard opposite the qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon him), taking into account all the health conditions recommended by the Supreme Religious Authority and the Ministry of Health.
The condolence council continues for seven days starting from the beginning of the month of Safar, with two lectures held daily, the first is held in the morning at exactly six o'clock and given by Sayed. Hisham Al-Battat, and the second is in the evening given by Sayed. Tayseer Al-Mousawi, in the presence of a number of the servants of the holy shrine and a number of visitors, according to what the place can accommodate, in a way that ensures non-crowding and overcrowding, and within spaces designated by the relevant authorities.
In their lecture, the two preachers highlights some parts from the biography of Imam al-Sibt al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), and within several axes that shed light on the life of Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), and the intellectual and cognitive gift he presented to the entire Islamic nation, and reviewed his great role in establishing the renaissance of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

Hashem al-Shami, the head of the Sayed servants division at the al-Abbas's holy shrine, explained to the al-Kafeel network, saying: “Every year, this council is held in conjunction with the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), and it is held in the courtyard of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), but because of the exceptional circumstance in the current situation in which we are living this year as a result of the repercussions of the spread of the Corona epidemic, which we ask God Almighty to push it away from us and all the believers, it was held in this place that the Department of Service Affairs prepared, organized and sterilized, and also provides seats and masks for the attendees, and distributing them within distances that achieve social distancing. "
