The Indexing and Information Systems Center of the Library and House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in its Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department announced that the United Nations Organization has included a package of scientific workshops that it established during the outbreak of the Corona epidemic in its report on the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, as the best workshops in Iraq for the second year in a row.
This is what was confirmed to the al-Kafeel Network, by the director of the center, Mr. Hassanein Al-Mousawi, who added: “During the past period we organized 17 scientific workshops on various axes, some of which were local and other global and regional. The work of our center did not stop during this period, which witnessed the stagnation of their counterparts in Iraq and the world as a result of the repercussions of the spread of the Corona epidemic, it continued using the internet, and it was one of the first to invest this time and achieve its aspirations."
Adding: “As a result, the International Federation of Library Associations and Information Centers (IFLA) has chosen this scientific activity and movement, as the best workshops presented in Iraq according to special criteria that IFLA followed, after examining them and evaluating their content and the degree of benefit from them, and then within the framework of its work to send it to the system of the United Nations specializes in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, for information and for inclusion in its annual report."
Al-Mousawi concluded: “What has been achieved is the result of the concerted efforts of the center’s workers, who employ their capabilities and scientific capabilities in the right direction, after the al-Abbas’s (P) Holy Shrine has provided all the appropriate climates for this. And we are continuing our project according to a plan developed for this purpose.”
