With more than 500 processions throughout Iraq: The Relief and Support Division commences the work of the Ziyarat Arba’een Plan.

The Relief and Central Support Division of the al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine has begun its plan of the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) for this year 1442 AH.
The division’s official, Mr. Qasim Rahim al-Maamouri, stated: “This plan is being followed directly by the Assistant Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's Holy Shrine, Mr. Maytham al-Zaidi, who provided the logistical and administrative capabilities to establish central shelters that accommodate large numbers of visitors inside the Holy city of Karbala.”
He added, "The logistical support processions, within the administrative units throughout the governorates of Iraq, are competing to provide services to the visitors heading towards the holy city of Karbala to perform Ziyarat Arba'een, by providing all service requirements within the capabilities available to it."
He indicated: “The aforementioned division units in the governorates sent their service processions to the center of the holy city of Karbala and the roads leading to it, to provide food, medical, logistical services and provide amenities for visitors, as the number reached more than (150) processions, in addition to more than (350) processions that have provided their services in the various provinces of the country. "
It is noteworthy that the processions of the governorates units of the aforementioned division, this year, made exceptional efforts in line with the Corona pandemic, as they provided large quantities of preventive and medical supplies and sterilization materials, which were distributed to visitors along the road to the holy city of Karbala.
