The al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine has designated four desalination stations (RO) to support service processions that are honored to provide their services to visitors heading towards the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them both), with a capacity of 47 thousand liters per hour under the supervision and follow-up of the Holy Shrine Ice Factory, and Al-Kafeel company for the production of mineral water at Al-Saqqa / 2 site on the (Babil - Karbala) road

The director of the ice factory of the al-Abbas's holy shrine, Eng. Ahmed Amgad, told Al-Kafeel network that: “As a result of the high temperatures and the increasing demand for water, its scarcity on days of Ziyarat, and in order to provide healthy and safe water for visitors, four desalination plants (RO) operating with a capacity of 47 thousand liters per hour, we allocated to provide water to the service processions 24 hours a day according to the needs of each procession, and to follow all sanitary procedures in the process of distribution or production.

He added: "The stations operate at full production capacity and their work continues around the clock, and the distribution is either by special vehicles belonging to the site or by directly reviewing the processions servants, and the production and distribution work is supervised by a specialized cadre."
