The Minister of Electricity, Eng. Majed Mahdi Imarah, confirmed that the al-Abbas's holy shrine has great efforts in improving the electric energy of Karbala Governorate, and we, as a ministry, are looking forward to more cooperation with it.
The Minister had the honor to visit the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), where he was received by its Secretary-General, Engineer Muhammad al-Ashigar and a number of its board members, listening to an explanation of the most important steps that the Holy Shrine had taken in the field of contributing to Improving electrical energy, in addition to using alternative energy in a number of its projects. The Minister had previously a tour at the Al-Kafeel Transformational Power Station, which reached more than 98% completion and a capacity of 11/33 kilovolts, which will contribute to easing the bottlenecks on the electrical network of the south Karbala axis."
Mr. Imarah also stated: “Today we were honored to visit the al-Abbas's holy shrine to thank it for donating a number of lands to establish four electrical transmission stations in Karbala Governorate. The cooperation continues between the Ministry and the Holy Shrine to establish more stations, and we will work together to feed the province with electric energy without shortage in the next year, God willing."
