Mourning processions at the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them both).

In commemoration and remembrance of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan Al-'Askari (peace be upon him), the various Karbala mourning processions arrived from early morning hours to the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them both), in order to offer condolences on this sad occasion to the Master of Order and Time; Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).

The movement of the mourning processions on the occasions of the martyrdom of the imams (peace be upon them), begins early and this is a mourning custom that has been used since ancient times. And the servants of the holy shrines and the department of rituals and Hussaini processions work to organize their march movement according to a schedule and plan developed for this purpose.

It is noteworthy that the believers among the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) around the world commemorate this sad occasion, extending condolences to the Imam Master of the Order and Time; al-Hujjah son of Al-Hassan (God Almighty hastened his honorable return), for the martyrdom anniversary of his father, Imam Al-Hassan Al-'Askari (peace be upon him) who was martyred by the al-Mu'tamid al-Abbasi who gave the Imam a deadly poison, causing him to remain in bed for several days, suffering bitter pains, while he was patient and compassionate, until he was martyred on the eighth Rabi' Awal 260 AH and he (peace be upon him) was twenty-eight years-old.
