Closing ceremony of the Kerbala Ninth International Book Fair

June 25, 2013.The Kerbala International Book Fair closed its activities with 235 Publishing Houses participating from inside and outside of Iraq.

The closing ceremony has been held at the book fair, where Sayed Aqeel Abdul Hasan El-Yasieri, the head of the media committee of the Ninth International Cultural Martyrdom Spring Festival stated that more than 165 various books in the field of science, religions, literature, poetry, philosophy in addition to books for children, family and youth had been displayed at.

The ceremony inaugurated with reciting verses of Noble Quran, and then a speech of the Kerbala Ninth International Book Fair delivered by Sayed Muyser El-Hekeem, the head of the book fair in which he mentioned that extended his gratitude to those who participated in succeeding the fair.

It's been mentioned in the closing ceremony of the book fair that more than 5 million books had been displayed. It's also been mentioned that the Secretariats-General of the Imam Hussein and El-Abbas holy shrines had a great role in sponsoring the fair.
