An academic delegation praises the two projects for preserving the Iraqi scientific output and the digital repository of dissertations and university theses.

A delegation from Basra University, led by its president Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen and a number of its faculty deans and professors, praised the two projects for preserving the Iraqi scientific output and the Iraqi digital repository of dissertations and university theses, which is adopted by the Digital Information Center of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs in the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, for the services it provides for researchers and undergraduate and postgraduate students.

University President Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen said: "These two projects are important projects that serve the scientific and research process in Iraq. We plan to open horizons for cooperation and joint work to provide the best services, in addition to exchanging experiences between the two sides."

This visit came during the weekly meeting organized by the University and School Relations Division at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

The delegation was received by Saleh Rikan al-Hasnawi, Director of the Information Management Department at the aforementioned center, who in turn gave an explanation about the most important services the project provides to the different academic segments, and the good results achieved on the ground. In addition to being the first specialized project in this field to be implemented in Iraq, relying on the design, modern programming, and providing it with all the information within the sections of each project.

At the conclusion of this tour, the visiting delegation praised these efforts and services provided by the center, which is one of the most prominent centers in Iraq, as it used the best modern technologies and made them accessible to researchers and students.
